Aircraft Wrecks in the Mountains and Deserts of the American West

PROJECT  REMEMBRANCE

Plans are being made through an air museum with non-profit status to begin placing memorial markers at crash sites where our service men and women lost their lives in good service to our nation. This practice has been done by family members of loved ones killed in the line of duty, by historical societies such as that of Lavaca County, Texas, and by individuals wishing to honor the memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us. We plan to devote special attention to the numerous WWII crash sites scattered throughout our own country.

These stone markers will be approximately 18" x 24", engraved, and set in concrete at the crash site with necessary permissions of the land owner, BLM, USFS, NPS, etc. Details of Project Remembrance will be posted as developments warrant.

It’s not too late to say thank you to those who have given so much for all of us. The hallmarks of this plan include researching, locating, surveying, documenting, and memorializing the crash sites of the past where our airmen and women have lost their lives.
